Privacy Policy
Scope of This Policy
What this Privacy Policy covers and how it relates to the Shipstry service.
This Privacy Policy describes how Shipstry collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the platform. It applies to public browsing, account creation, product submissions, comments, paid launch purchases, feedback, and related support interactions.
It does not govern third-party services that may be linked from Shipstry or integrated through providers such as payment, authentication, analytics, or communications tools, except to describe how those services interact with our platform.

- Product submission data such as product name, tagline, description, links, screenshots, logos, category, and social links

Information Collected Automatically
Technical and usage data generated when you browse, sign in, or interact with the service.
When you use Shipstry, we may collect technical information such as IP-derived request data, browser and device information, referral information, and page interaction data needed to operate and secure the service.
We also collect session and event data needed for authentication, platform integrity, and performance analysis. Some of this information may be collected through cookies, browser storage, or analytics scripts.
Authentication and Account Access
How sign-in methods and session handling involve personal data.
Shipstry currently supports sign-in through Google and email one-time codes. When you use those methods, we process the identity and account information required to create or authenticate your account and maintain your session.
We use session cookies and related session data so you can stay signed in, access protected pages, and manage your account securely.
Payments and Purchases
What payment information we receive and what is handled by our payment processor.
If you purchase a paid launch plan, upgrade, or featured placement, payment processing is handled through Stripe. Shipstry may receive and store payment-related records such as purchase status, amount, checkout session identifiers, customer references, product or draft references, and plan metadata.
Shipstry does not need to store your full payment card details directly in order to process a standard Stripe checkout flow. Payment details are handled through Stripe's systems and are also subject to Stripe's privacy practices.
Public Content and Visibility
Which parts of your activity may become visible to other users or the public web.
Product listings, maker profiles, comments, replies, and certain activity on Shipstry may be visible to other users and may also be visible to search engines or other public visitors, depending on how the relevant page is exposed on the platform.
You should assume that content you intentionally publish to public areas of Shipstry can be viewed, shared, and referenced by others.

Sharing and Service Providers
When information may be shared and the principle that it is not sold.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as authentication, payments, analytics, email delivery, and internal support or communication tools.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or in connection with a business transfer, restructuring, or similar operational event.
Cookies, Analytics, and Session Replay
The tools used for session handling, product analytics, and usage understanding.
Shipstry uses essential cookies and related storage to maintain sessions, authenticate users, and support core platform functions.
In production, Shipstry also uses analytics and behavior tools including Google Analytics, Umami, and Microsoft Clarity to understand usage patterns, page performance, and interaction behavior. These tools may use cookies, browser identifiers, or similar technologies, and in some cases may support heatmaps or session replay features.
Data Retention
How long information may be kept and why some records may persist.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain account history, process purchases, handle disputes and refunds, prevent abuse, and comply with legal or operational obligations.
Even if you stop using Shipstry or remove some content, certain records may be retained where needed for accounting, fraud prevention, security review, legal compliance, or internal platform integrity.
Data Security
The reasonable safeguards in place and the limits of online security.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information under our control. However, no method of transmission or storage on the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
For that reason, Shipstry cannot guarantee absolute security and users should also take reasonable steps to protect their own accounts and devices.
Your Choices and Rights
How you can access, correct, delete, or otherwise manage your information.
You may access or update parts of your account information through your profile settings. You may also contact us if you want to request correction, deletion, or clarification about information associated with your account.
Some information may remain in backup systems, financial records, anti-abuse systems, or public records where retention is necessary for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
Children's Privacy
The service is intended for a general maker and product audience, not for children.
Shipstry is not intended for young children. If you believe personal information has been submitted by a child in a way that should not have occurred, contact us and we will review the report.
