Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Shipstry, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any policies or guidelines referenced by them. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.
These terms apply to your use of Shipstry's public pages, accounts, product submission workflow, comments, launch plans, awards, and any related services we provide through the platform.
Platform Role and Scope
Shipstry is a product launch registry and discovery platform. We provide tools for makers to submit products, for the community to discover and discuss them, and for launches to be reviewed, scheduled, and displayed within the registry.
Use of Shipstry does not create any promise of approval, ranking position, distribution, traffic, commercial results, or continued availability of a listing on the platform.
Eligibility and Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that happens under it. If you believe your account has been used without authorization, you should contact us promptly.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date. We may suspend or restrict access if we believe an account is fraudulent, abusive, or being used in violation of these terms.
Acceptable Use
You may use Shipstry only in ways that are lawful, honest, and consistent with the intended purpose of the platform. You may not:
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, scrape, abuse, or reverse engineer the service
- Use Shipstry to spread malware, spam, fraud, harassment, or misleading content
- Manipulate submissions, voting, comments, awards, or reputation systems in bad faith
- Circumvent technical or operational restrictions, including review, moderation, or access limits
User Content and Account Material
You retain ownership of content you submit to Shipstry, including product details, descriptions, images, profile information, and comments.
By submitting content, you grant Shipstry a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, moderate, and use that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the platform.
Content Standards
You agree not to submit content that:
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- Is unlawful, malicious, harmful, or abusive
- Contains spam or promotional material unrelated to the platform
- Violates applicable laws or regulations
Product Submissions and Review
Products submitted to Shipstry must be legitimate, functional products or productized platforms that fit the registry. Submission does not guarantee approval, and approval does not guarantee any minimum reach, ranking outcome, or business result.
We may review submissions for product reality, completeness, ownership, duplicate risk, launch fit, trust and safety, and compliance with our policies. We may approve, reject, ask for clarification, limit visibility, or remove listings at our discretion.
We may also remove or restrict products after approval if new information shows that a listing is misleading, unsafe, infringing, abusive, duplicated, or otherwise no longer appropriate for the platform.
Paid Plans, Featured Placement, and Refunds
Some parts of Shipstry require one-time payments, including paid launch plans and featured placement. Prices, plan details, and included benefits may change over time, but the purchased benefits for an order are governed by the offer shown at checkout.
Featured placement, priority review, backlink treatment, and similar launch benefits are subject to the specific plan rules in effect at the time of purchase. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy and depends on factors such as review status and whether featured placement has already begun.
Payments do not purchase ownership over rankings, votes, awards, approval decisions, or permanent placement on the platform.
Backlinks, Awards, and Reputation Signals
Backlink status, awards, Wakemark, and related platform signals are part of Shipstry's internal product systems. We may revise how they are awarded, displayed, calculated, or maintained as the platform evolves.
Nothing in these systems should be interpreted as a promise of SEO benefit, ranking permanence, or commercial gain. We may adjust or revoke associated status where policy, verification, or platform integrity requires it.
Intellectual Property
The Shipstry service, visual identity, software, and site materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Except where clearly permitted, you may not copy, republish, extract, or commercially exploit protected platform materials without authorization.
If you believe content on Shipstry infringes your rights, contact us with the relevant details and we will review the report.
Third-Party Services and Links
Shipstry may integrate with or link to third-party services, including payment, authentication, analytics, social, and communication providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, uptime, or actions of third-party services.
Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Suspension, Termination, and Removal
We may suspend accounts, remove content, cancel access to certain features, or terminate use of the service when necessary to protect the platform, enforce these terms, comply with law, or address abuse, fraud, or trust and safety concerns.
You may stop using Shipstry at any time. Some content or records may remain where retention is necessary for platform operation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or audit purposes.
Disclaimer
Shipstry is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, approval of submissions, preservation of rankings, or that the service will be free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shipstry and its operators will not be liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data, lost business opportunity, ranking changes, visibility changes, or commercial outcomes, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Changes to Terms and Service
We may update these terms and may also change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. Continued use of Shipstry after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
